Testament | Next Game Sep 19th 2010

“We made gods and jailers because we felt small and alone," he said. "We let them try us and judge us and, like lambs to the slaughter, we allowed ourselves to be... sentenced. See! Now! Our sentence is up.” - Grant Morrison, The Invisibles

2000BC. The last slab falls into place. The gods arrive at Stonehenge. The world turns.

Testament: Nothing will ever be the same.

Testament is a game about people with the passion to change the world. It is a game of revolution, set in a present day London where, for a small handful of people, the city has suddenly filled up with gods and monsters of every stripe. These chosen few find themselves given a chance to shape the course of human history, if they can only work out what that should be before one of the many new and terrifying threats that now exist out there take the decision out of their hands.

In Testament, the players take on the roles of otherwise normal people who have suddenly found that they have been gifted with magical powers from an unknown source, and responsibility for the fate of humanity. When the game begins, all they know is that some very strange things have happened to them lately, and that they have received a message promising them that if they attend the church of St Mary Woolnoth in the heart of the City on a certain date, everything will be explained to them.

Where and When?

The next session of Testament will take place on September 19th 2010 at 7pm, upstairs at The Blue Posts pub on Newman Street, just off Oxford Street. We look forward to seeing you there!
